Short Game
We have devised an in depth Short Game Skills Test here at SGA to get to the root of any underlying deficiencies in our player’s short games. This test will give us invaluable information about the state of your short game and putting in relation to your current handicap level. You will be tested and receive a handicap number for each of the following areas:
- Short Putting
- Lag Putting
- Chipping
- Pitching
- Bunker Shot
- Finesse Wedge
We get very specific with this test. We document the average distance from the hole, left or right and long or short of the target. We look for any tendencies or patterns. The more info we have the more we can target your practice and work together to improve any deficiencies. This is calculated as an average and also displayed in your summary sheet containing your short game handicap numbers that will be emailed to you. This info will also be listed in your emailed summary. This detailed information will help us know what we need to work and how to organize a practice program.
After you complete the test, you will be receive an email of your result including:
- A short game handicap for each specific area of your game
- An overall short game handicap
- Average Distance from the hole
- Video drills
- Practice Plan
The ability to have an objective way to measure your short game handicap relative to your own golf handicap is a vital tool. This information will allow us to focus on the areas that are the weakest.
